The Upside came from the idea that there is always a positive spin we can put on things.

While its easy to focus on how many things are wrong and the impact we are having on the environment, there are so many ways we can live a more sustainable lifestyle. We not only have the opportunity to buy smart, we can create beautiful things out of used materials, allowing a second life instead of them ending up in landfills. Our mission is to help each other live a life with less waste. It stems from conscious consuming (only buying items we need and know will last a long time) sourcing materials responsibly, (using thrifted materials, remnants and other used forms) and creating a community that embraces repairing our loved items. We enjoy working with people who value the journey of the items they have, embracing the time and love that shows brightly on a well lived item.
